The MyGym Christmas Gift Guide
The MyGym Christmas Gift Guide
– I appreciate that this might be a little last minute and ‘Panic Saturday’ is fast approaching but here are my choices for the very first MyGym Christmas gift guide. I’ve made the choices based on my own personal experiences and taken into account the quality of the product, style, function and price.
Like The Wind
If, like me, you enjoy a good read and magazines that are different from the mainstream publications then you’ll love ‘Like The Wind’… as in ‘Run Like The Wind’.
Each quarterly publication oozes quality both in the writing and photography / art but also in the paper and ink used to make it. It’s a great gift idea for the runner in your life or as a treat for yourself. Curl up and take your time to enjoy this masterpiece.
Issue 7 is out now priced £9.00 from Like The Wind – Back issues, bundles and subscriptions also available.
Reviewed back in July of this year, this French start-up is making waves in the fitness accessories market having not only released two sizes of their highly rated Smartbag but have recently released a duffel and ladies gym bag to boot. Here is our original review of the larger of the two bags the Smartbag 40.
The Smartbag 40 is available directly from Karkoa priced at £63.00
As full GPS fitness and activity trackers go the Garmin Vivoactive is not only very attractively priced in a very competitive market but it also looks pretty damn sexy on the wrist. With a full colour touch screen and slim design (the Apple Watch is actually thicker) you can wear this in the office, out on the tiles and while your training.
It’s also waterproof enabling it to monitor swimming as well as running, walking, cycling and even golfing!
Priced from £199 from Garmin
For something a little different and decedent why not get this hipster flask from SWIG. The brand has been getting quite a bit of attention over the last couple of years since it’s start up and for good reason.
The stylish flasks come beautifully packaged in a gift box with ribbon and range from the leather Executive (pictured) to a Harris Tweed or just plain naked. Each flask is stamped with it’s own number for authenticity and SWIG branding.
Although not a ‘fitness’ gift, it’s perfect for those adventures away from home be it camping, trekking or sailing. All work & no play….
Available directly from SWIG with prices starting from £49.99
Scaramouche & Fandango Range
I have been using Scaramouch & Fandango (not the easiest brand name to say or remember) since I received there sport EDT from a subscription service.
Quality is great across all the ranges and the fragrance is gorgeous, manly but not over-powering, more understated then anything. I can personally vouch for the Sport Shower Wash and Sport EDT and if buying for a gift both items come in a handy and stylish wash bag, perfect for the gym.
Available online direct from Scaramouche & Fandango
The Chapar is a personal stylist service for men that don’t have either the time or the skill to buy the latest trends and put an out-fit together (I have time, but no skill).
I’ve used the service a handful of times over the last three years and although sometimes it has been a little hit & miss, lately they seem to have upped their game sending out new and established brands and out-fit choices.
The clothes are delivered via courier to either your work or home address in The Chapar Trunk. Clothes are bundled together by outfit with an explanatory note from your stylist about the clothes that have been picked for you and how to wear them.
You decide what you want to keep then the courier collects the trunk back with the items you don’t…simple!
Sign yourself up or treat a loved one to a stylist service from The Chapar.
